Preface

Abstract

This volume contains selected papers presented at the 3rd International Workshop on Theoretical and Computational Physics (IWTCP-3): Complex Systems and Interdisciplinary Physics and the 40th National Conference on Theoretical Physics (NCTP-40). Both the workshop and the conference were held from 27-30 July 2015 in Dalat Palace Hotel, Da Lat, Vietnam.The NCTP-40 was held to mark the 40th anniversary of the National Conference on Theoretical Physics (NCTP), which was organized for the first time in Da Lat in August 1976, while the IWTCP-3 was also an External Activity of the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP).Both the IWTCP-3 and the NCTP-40 were organized under the support of the Vietnamese Theoretical Physics Society (VTPS), with a motivation to foster scientific exchanges between the theoretical and computational physicists in Vietnam and worldwide, and to promote high level research and educational activities in the country.145 participants coming from 10 countries participated in the workshop and the conference. At the IWTCP-3 workshop, 14 invited talks were presented by international experts, together with 9 oral and 32 poster contributions.
