Abstract
The 6th Mathematics, Science, and Computer Science Education International Seminar (MSCEIS 2018) has already been held in Bandung, Indonesia, on 27 October 2018. This seminar is the 6th international seminar which held annually started since 2013 hosted by Faculty Mathematics and Science Education, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). The theme of MSCEIS 2018 is “Strengthening Scientific Literacy and Character Building”. The MSCEIS 2018 should be beneficial for all participants. We can share and learn many current topics in various research fields. We do hope this event could facilitate all participants to interact each other intensively for extending scientific network in the future.There are 249 presented orally and 49 papers presented by poster covering variety subjects of mathematics, science, computer science and science education. The 298 of papers were double blind reviewed where the number of accepted papers are 268 and the number of rejected paper are 30. Especially, there are three keynote speakers and ten invited speakers come from Australia, Netherlands, Japan, South Korea, and Indonesia for plenary and parallel sessions, respectively.We would like to thank all of those who helped and supported MSCEIS 2018. Each individual and institution’s support was very important for the success of this seminar. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge the advisory board, scientific committee, and organizing committee for their valuable advice, help, suggestion, and support in the organization and helpful peer-reviewing process of the papers. We would also extend our best gratitude to keynote speakers for their valuable contribution for sharing ideas and knowledge in the MSCEIS 2018.We sincerely hope that MSCEIS 2018 will be a forum for excellent discussions for improving the quality of research and development relating to the mathematics, science, and computer science education. We also hope that this forum will put forward new ideas and promote collaborative researches among participants.
