Preface

Abstract

It’s been a trending topic on how to combine traditional energy with green development. With the aim to discuss this hot topic, 2020 International Conference on Petrochemical Engineering and Green Development (ICPEGD 2020), supported by Shanghai Institute of Technology and AEIC Academic Exchange Information Centre, was successfully held on April 17, 2020. In light of the prevention and control of COVID-19, ICPEGD 2020 chose to be held online this time to avoid personnel gatherings. The topics of this conference cover petrochemical engineering, geomechanics and petrophysics, energy saving and emission reduction, energy planning research, industrial energy saving and emission reduction, green development, etc., with a focus on the frontier research of petrochemical and green development, aiming to provide a flexible platform for the experts and scholars in these fields to share their insightful views and discuss the latest challenges.The committee of ICPEGD 2020 was composed of twenty distinguished experts and scholars who represent different renowned universities and institutes in China. We were honored to have Prof. Sheng Han, Director of science and technology in Shanghai Institute of Technology, to serve as the Conference Chairman, who mainly engaged in fine petroleum functional chemicals and their modification, as well as green energy materials and other aspects of research.In order to vividly present the latest research and results of scientists related to Petrochemical Engineering and Green Development, we compiled a lot of excellent papers featuring the latest advanced studies on the following topics but not limited to: Petroleum and Petrochemical Engineering Fossil Technologies, Geomechanics and Rock Physics, Geology and Geochemistry, Energy Management and Environmental Issues, Oil & Gas Processing, Storage and Transportation, Downstream Technologies Petrochemical Processes, Chemical Industry Safety Operations, Green Development Model, Green development governance, Green Synergy Innovation, Regional coordinated development and other related topics. All the papers have been through rigorous review and process to meet the requirements of International publication standard.We would like to send our heartful thanks to the Chairman, the distinguished keynote speakers, the staff, as well as all the audiences. This conference couldn’t make such a big success without the efforts from every parties. We also want to thank the publisher for publishing this proceeding. We hope the readers who are interested in these fields could enjoy and find some useful knowledge in it.
