Abstract
Exposure to mouse allergen is associated with increased asthma morbidity in children.1-3 Reduction in exposure is associated with improvements in asthma.4,5 In the Mouse Allergen and Asthma Intervention Trial (MAAIT), a dose–response relation was found between reduction in mouse allergen and improvement in asthma outcomes regardless of the intervention implemented.4 Achieving a clinically meaningful reduction in mouse allergen levels can be challenging. Ideally, environmental interventions could be tailored to optimize chances for success.
