Abstract

Distribution system operators (DSO) are being challenged to be more efficient in asset management – namely in reduction of maintenance costs – and start to be more predictive and less corrective. This paper presents a model that foresees anomalous situations in the opening times of a circuit breaker in response to a given protection command – where was defined that an anomalous situation occurs when the circuit breaker took more than 100 ms to open. This project designed a solution in SAS platform: data processing is performed in SAS Enterprise Guide where the technical and maintenance information of the circuit breakers are loaded in datamarts and are automatically refreshed from SAP Jump. Also in SAS GUIDE the SCADA events data from 2014 to 2019 (obtained with BI-SCADA) are analysed and the opening times for these events are calculated.
