Abstract

A number of thermophysical properties of combustion gases occurring in turbine engines have been compared with experimental data by using the Mansour-Najjar equation of state. The values obtained are shown to be more accurate than those derived from the virial equation of state. The following properties were studied: density, specific heat, enthalpy, entropy, viscosity, and thermal conductivity in the temperature range 200–2600 K at pressures of 3–12 atm.
