Abstract
Abstract The UNIFAC group contribution method is applied for the prediction of the solubility of hydrocarbons in water. Liquid‐liquid binary interaction parameters were employed in the calculations. The average absolute deviation between the experimental and calculated solubilities is 23 percent which is a marked improvement over the results of previous applications of the UNIFAC method.
