Abstract

Field trials were conducted for three years in commercial pea crops. Large plots were sequentially sprayed with triazophos using tractor-mounted machinery and damage was estimated at harvest. Results showed the last date at which sprays could be applied to achieve effective control. This information confirmed that pheromone-trap catches and a temperature-based calculation provide a good indication of the optimum spray date.
