Abstract

A pillar of the Indian financial system, mutual funds have become a viable option for investors looking to expand and secure their holdings. This research carefully examines the performance of ten carefully chosen large-cap mutual funds in India using strong statistical techniques to provide a comprehensive knowledge of their effectiveness. By use of secondary data analysis that includes measures like beta, Jensen, Sharpe, Treynor, standard deviation, and average return, this study aims to give investors important information that they need to make well-informed decisions. This study's main goal is to conduct a thorough performance evaluation of these large-cap mutual funds. This study attempts to provide light on the complex dynamics of these funds through the use of a wide variety of statistical tools, enabling a more thorough understanding of their risk-return profiles and overall efficacy. Both experienced and inexperienced investors will find great value in the thorough analysis provided here, as it will provide them the tools they need to handle the intricacies of the financial market with caution and confidence.
