Abstract

Separation of magnetic loss is a perfect tool for assessment of the loss mechanism of electrical steel with Goss texture. It is therefore of great importance to perform loss separation as accurate as possible. It can be also used for modeling of anisotropy influence on specific total loss. Grain-oriented electrical steel sheets samples have been tested in Single Sheet Tester (SST) at ten different frequencies. Specific total loss was measured and than separated into three components: hysteresis, classical and excess eddy current. The aim of this paper is to present the loss separation approach for modeling of anisotropy influence on the specific total loss of electrical steel sheets at arbitrary magnetization angle.
