Abstract

As continental oil shale reserves are of rich resources, great potential for exploration, the key problem is prediction of sweet spots. Due to the particularity of continental shale oil, it can’t refer to the prediction technology of marine shale oil sweet spots. This study proposes a prediction method of well-seismic multi-level fusion. Based on the data of core, borehole log and FMI, it integrates several information such as well logging and seismic to predict shale oil sweet spots. This method gets a preferable result in the prediction of shale oil sweet spots in the lower part of member 3 of Shahejie Formation (Es3) of LJ area in JY depression, Eastern China, and it can provide some references for exploration of shale oil in other areas.
