Abstract

A modified Schmitt Trigger is described which combines the principle of the original circuit with the stability of a cathode coupled difference amplifier. Its hysteresis may be closely controled by choosing suitable circuit values. Compared with the conventional Schmitt Trigger, this circuit represents an improvement in drift and hysteresis by at least one order of magnitude.
