Abstract

In some automotive antenna measurement ranges an exact placement of the test object is required but difficult. This paper presents a reliable method to determine the geometric position of an arbitrary antenna by application of a phase center localization technique to an accuracy of fractions of a wavelength. The performance of this method is examined with several test setups. Finally, the method is applied to determine the position of an automotive application antenna on a car body.
