Abstract
Recent progress of the electro-magnetic flux compression techniques enables us to generate a magnetic field of up to 730 T. We used Faraday rotation (FR) of a quartz rod, whose dimension was precisely measured, as a precise measurement of the magnetic field in such extreme conditions. The turn-around structure around a peak field was observed in the FR angle when plotted against time for the first time. We have attempted to calibrate the signals of the pickup coils by the FR angle.
