Abstract

The paper presents measures of the relative oscillator strengths of 45 ground state lines of Ti I, for the range |$+0.215\,\gt\,\text{log}\,gf\,\gt\,- 3.84$|, made with an accuracy of 0.5 per cent using the Oxford furnace technique. The relative measurements have been placed provisionally on an absolute scale using the atomic beam measurements of Bell et al. and the lifetimes measured by Roberts et al. This scale has an accuracy of about 12 per cent. Comparisons are made with the measured values of other experimenters and with the results of calculations.
