Abstract

Recently, researchers have paid attention to track users' trajectories by their smartphones. Conventionally, current works utilize GPS or Wi-Fi signal to derive users' locations and keep tracking users' location changes. However, conventional schemes may not be used in indoor environment or need prior configurations. In this work, we propose to derive users' trajectories using smartphones' inertial sensors. The proposed scheme contains three modules, which aim to eliminate noise to sensors and to support unconstraint usage on phones while walking. The evaluation results indicate that the proposed scheme can derive users' walking trajectories effectively and precisely.
