Abstract

The demarcation of the northerly part of the Inter‐provincial Boundary between Saskatchewan and Alberta was carried out in 1938 by the Saskatchewan‐Alberta Boundary Commission. In connection with this work, a precise astronomical determination of position was made at the north end of the Boundary by the Geodetic Service of Canada. A number of years previous to 1938, several determinations of latitude and longitude were made at other points on the line by officials of the Dominion Observatory. An analysis of these determinations will serve to give approximate values of the deviations of the vertical at the points of observation.
