Abstract
AbstractA novel phenomenon, termed precipitative polymerization, is described. In it, the BPA—phosgene reaction is conducted with simultaneous precipitation of polycarbonate granules. Very low organic‐to‐aqueous phase ratio and high pH medium are primarily required to cause this in‐situ precipitation.
