Abstract

Zircaloy-4 plate with β-quenched heat treatment was irradiated by 600 keV nitrogen ions at 470°C. The irradiation induced microstructures were characterized using standard transmission electron microscopy techniques. No dislocation loops were found. Diffraction pattern analysis revealed that the large precipitates were probably Zr0.675Sn0.245Fe0.08 and Zr4Sn.
