Abstract

1. The recommended precast reinforced-concrete revetment with a comparatively small thickness permits passing over the top of an earth slope large specific discharges with considerable velocities. 2. A decrease in thickness and increase in stability of V-shaped elements are achieved by surcharging the revetment by a normal centrifugal force occurring on the upper surface of the slabs due to the conditions of the flow past them. 3. The revetment has a favorable industrial character for manufacture and assembly; if necessary it can be dismantled easily and reused. 4. The wide introduction of the proposed revetment in hydraulic construction can save millions of rubles on temporary and permanent spillway structures of hydrodevelopments.
