Abstract

This note describes 28 tests on complete rings, individual segments and joints of precast concrete for tunnel linings. Strength tests have been reported on behaviour in compression, bending, combined bending and compression, and resistance to ram loading and pullout. It is concluded that there is not at present an economic case for constructing a full scale test rig. (TRRL)
