Abstract
Aim: Relation between NAFLD and carotid vascular disease has been widely demonstrated and it seems to be indipendent by common cardiovascular risk factors. Many reports have shown an association between echolucent carotid atherosclerotic plaques and unstable features. Goal of the study is to detect a relationship between hepatic steatosis severity and carotid plaque qualitative features in patients affected by metabolic syndrome(MS).
