Abstract

This work is dedicated to two Eastern Slavonic borrowings prasoł and tołpa, which are connected with the old salt mining professiolect. The paper shows the presence of both lexemes in different cultural sources: lexicographic works – general and onomastic dictionaries, as well as reviews, mining instructions and city books of Krakow. Attention has also been paid to the functioning of analysed words in Polish specialized lexis and onymic context.
