[A new genus and species of leucosiid crab, Praosia punctata, is described from mangrove swamps in Singapore. Praosia is allied to the genera Nursia Leach and Paranursia Serene & Soh, but can be separated in having four parallel longitudinal ridges on the carapace, the structure of the male abdomen and, a more elongate male second pleopod., A new genus and species of leucosiid crab, Praosia punctata, is described from mangrove swamps in Singapore.
