Abstract

The principal of Ta'allamul Huda Islamic Elementary School (SD), Indra Gautama, concurrently held the position of art teacher. This happened because he was a practitioner of the art of music. This study aims to reveal the role of the principal in facilitating the interest of student talent in the field of music art at Ta'allumul Huda Islamic Elementary School. The research method used is qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques used were interviews with principals and students, facilitator observation in the implementation of coaching, and documentation. The validity of the data in this study uses triangulation of data sources. The results showed that the role of the principal as educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, innovators and motivators in facilitating students' interests in the field of music has been well implemented.
