Abstract

This issue of Practicing Anthropology culminates a five year collaborative effort to encourage the teaching of anthropology in precollege classrooms. Through workshops and symposia, publications and newsletters, resolutions and special reports, we have tried to build a network of anthropologists interested in precollege anthropology, exert pressure on the American Anthropological Association to provide support services in the national office for precollege anthropology, and provide support to precollege teachers throughout the country who. are incorporating. anthropology into their curricula.
