Abstract

Objective To probe into the application effect of participation-based teaching method in teaching of basic skills of nursing. Methods The nursing undergraduate classed in 2004 and 2005 were chosen.Two classed were randomly selected in each grade as the participation-based teaching group and the conventional teaching group. The corresponding teaching modes were used in the two groups, respectively. The examination of basic skills of nursing and the questionnaire survey were regarded as the indexes evaluating the teaching effect to complete the statistical analysis. Results The examination scores of nursing skills, the activity of study and the evaluation of teaching effect had statistical meaning (P<0.01). Conclusions The application effect of participation-based teaching method in the teaching of nursing skill is obviously superior to the conventional teaching method. It is a good and interaction teaching method, inspiring the activity of study and training the integrated skill and features. This teaching method is feasible and helpful to obtain the best teaching effect. Key words: Nursing education; Participation-based teaching; Teaching research
