Abstract

According to the rules of Classification Society, the underwater inspection of the jack-up drilling platform is a statutory inspection item. Underwater inspection can replace the dock inspection, which can reduce the docking cost and save the inspection time. Therefor, it has high economic benefit and effectiveness. This paper introduces the practice of UWILD for Kantan 6, analyzes and summarizes the experiences and lessons. Finally, some opinions for the underwater inspection of similar platforms are proposed, and can provide reference for underwater inspection in the future.
