Abstract

The need for reliability data to support engineering studies has been well established in recent years; however, the quality of available data is the binding constraint on the quality of most reliability studies. The objective of this paper is to present some of the practical difficulties which typically require negotiating in field data collection, reduction, and statistical analysis, primarily at the component level.
