Abstract
Tourism is an important way for poverty-stricken areas to get rid of poverty and become better-off. The rural home-stay tourism industry and tourism industry in Sichuan ethnic areas can integrate related industries and promote economic development, and it brings great benefits to local residents and makes itself the main front for China to implement the targeted poverty alleviation strategy. Under the background of rural revitalization, the rural home-stay tourism industry in Sichuan ethnic areas has ushered in development opportunities due to their unique tourism resources and culture. This paper takes the upgrading and development of rural home-stay industry in Danba ethnic area of Sichuan province as the research object. Data is collected based on the semi-structural interview with the local government and operators of the rural home-stay business. The ecological footprint and fuzzy comprehension evaluation are adopted to analyze the data and the current situation in rural home-stay tourism industry. Finally, the research proposed the sustainable development strategies for the rural home-stay tourism industry in Sichuan ethnic areas.
