Abstract
MV‐index that quantitatively evaluates the steady state control performance is a method of setting the minimum variance as a benchmark, and it is widely used mainly for process control. However, since the minimum variance is intended to make the output of the dead time ahead coincide with the reference signal, realizing this is not realistic. This research proposes a new control performance index considering with the weighting factors of controller. © 2021 Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan. Published by Wiley Periodicals LLC.
