Dr. Benzel has achieved his goal, stated in his preface, of editing a compact, concise, practical treatise that is both a textbook and a general reference on the diagnosis and treatment of peripheral nerve entrapment and injuries. Although there are several detailed reference works currently available on peripheral nerve surgery, I am not aware of any other text that covers the field in a brief volume with such thorough detail.
