Abstract

In his opening remarks to delegates at the <b>67th CFA Institute Annual Conference</b>, <b>John Rogers</b>, President and CEO of <b>CFA Institute</b>, applauded the fact that industry executives are promoting ethical conduct and greater knowledge. However, he cautioned that there is still much work to be done and made a number of practical suggestions. CFA Institute recently conducted two global surveys—the <b>Global Market Sentiment Survey 2014</b> and the <b>Crisis of Culture Report</b> in conjunction with the <b>Economist Intelligence Unit</b> (EIU). The surveys provide the proof points that there is still a significant gap between executives’ recognition of the importance of ethical behavior in the industry and the industry’s actual practices, Rogers warned. The bottom line: The future of finance starts with you!
