Abstract

Objective: To investigate the serial changes of motor performance after transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) in the paretic hand of subacute poststroke stroke patients. Design: Blind, sham-controlled, crossover study. Setting: Tertiary care rehabilitation hospital. Participants: 8 subacute poststroke patients. Interventions: tDCS or sham stimulation was randomly delivered through 2 saline-soaked electrodes (25cm2) using a Phoresor1 II Auto on a different day from the familiarization session.
