Abstract
Methods: 26 malnourished patients with Crohn’s disease in phase of exacerbation were observed. 14 of them (basic group) received enteral nutrition (oral nutritional supplements) by standard polymeric formulas, enriched transforming growth factor TGF-b2 (400 600 kcal/day, during 2 weeks), 12 of them (control group) were received only medical diet. All patients received basic drug therapy. Dynamics of weight, fat mass (FM), fat free mass (FFM) and dry mass without fat (DMWF) were estimated. For evaluating the body composition the bioelectrical impedance analysis and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry were used.
