Abstract
EKOS (Endowave Infusion Catheter System) is to enhance catheter-directed thrombolysis by accelerating the fibrinolytic process with the application of ultrasound. Catheter directed thrombolysis is taking advantage of lytic effect of systemic thrombolytic therapy by reducing systemic side effects. In this case we used ultrasound thrombolysis catheter to treat the patient diagnosed to have acute bilateral internal juguler venous thrombosis resulting brain edema.
