Abstract

The article is devoted to the presentation of the results of research carried out at the Department of Criminal Procedure of the Jagiellonian University Kraków as part of a research programme financed by the Narodowe Centrum Nauki (National Science Center), No. 2016/23/B/HS5/00437: “Victim as a participant in repressive proceedings. Fourth vertex of the triangle?” In addition to the file research and comparative law studies, several hundred legal practitioners - judges, prosecutors, advocates and attorneys-at-law dealing with criminal cases - were also consulted. The research questionnaire contained 28 questions, or more precisely - statements where the respondent could mark his answer (opinion) according to the five-level Likert scale. In addition, the questionnaire contained two open-ended questions. Among the completed questionnaires, 64 (i.e. 16.1%) came from attorneys-at-law. It turned out that their views did not diverge significantly from those of jurists working in other professions.
