Abstract
SYNOPSIS The relationship between optimal power output and efficiency of an endoreversible Carnot heat engine is derived based on a new generalised heat transfer law, including a generalised convective heat transfer law and a generalised radiative heat transfer law, q ∞ (ΔTn)m The results include those obtained in many references and can provide some theoretical guidance for the design of practical heat engines.
