Abstract

Power transfer efficiencies of magnetic resonance wireless power link including a relay resonator that is not aligned with the source and device resonators are reported. Based on the properties of power transfer efficiencies for misalignments of two resonators with no relay, it is possible to explain the peculiar properties in power transfer efficiency for the cases with relay resonator misaligned. All the theoretical predictions have been confirmed by measurement results, both of which are in good agreement. Some interesting phenomena in power transfer efficiency have been pointed out and discussed.
