Abstract

Smart Grid is replacing Traditional power grid due to modernization of communication and Information Technology. Hence the grid is highly vulnerable to cyber physical attack, which is also known as False Data Injection Attack (FDIA). In order to protect electric grid from these cyber attack it is very important to continuously monitor the electric power system. This paper highlights the comparison of Weighted Least Square (WLS) method of power system state estimation with Linear Programming (LP) method of state estimation on the basis of residue in event of FDIA for nonlinear system. LP method gives promising results compare to WLS.
