Abstract
Recent years witness considerable progress in the science of power system control and as its practical consequence - in the development of modern energy control centers utilizing automation and computer techniques. At the same time the development of dispatch centers does not solve all the problems of control of power system viewed as large system. Principally new cybernetic approach is required for the solution of power utility control problems.In this short paper an attempt is made to outline the problem of power system control in its connection with other related issues, üo show the role of modern energy control centers in the solution of this problem as well as to indicate some prospects of further research.
