Abstract
Metal/insulator/metal (MIM) structures of Al/polyimide Langmuir-Blodgett film/Au have continuously released electrical energy for one year and three months, receiving no operation from other sources. The curve of applied voltage v vs current i does not pass through the origin of coordinates of v and i. This indicates that the MIM gives electrical energy to the applied voltage source, and that MiM itself is a power source, in particular, a current source. However, the power source is considered to release electrical energy by absorption of thermal energy from the surroundings.
