Abstract

This article describes the power quality analysis realized over a 6 kW photovoltaic system interconnected with the electrical grid of a laboratories building. That building is the engineering programs' investigation center of the Universidad de Bogota Jorge Tadeo Lozano. A monitoring system was implemented through virtual instrumentation to acquire solar radiation, ambient temperature and electrical variables of the photovoltaic system. The analysis was applied on 2016 and the standard guidelines of IEEE 929-2000 were followed. The results show that power quality parameters: frequency, nominal voltage, total harmonic distortion of voltage and flicker satisfy the standard limits; but power factor does not satisfy the 0.85 value demanded as consequence of the building non-linear loads.
