Abstract

In the process of roller pressing of wet materials, two simultaneous phenomena are observed - contact interaction and moisture filtration. Following this, the theory of roller pressing of wet materials is also a joint solution of two types of problems: the first type - contact interaction in roller pairs; the second type is moisture filtration in a deformable inhomogeneous porous medium. The power parameters of the two-roll module are the key parameters in the design and operation of squeezing machines. The quality and effect of squeezing out wet materials mainly depend on these parameters. In the article, based on the results of solving contact and hydraulic problems of the theory of roller squeezing of wet materials, analytical dependences of the power parameters of the two-roll module of squeezing machines were obtained. It was revealed that the moment of the two-roll module increases with an increase in the roller radius. Comparison of the dependence of the moment, established theoretically and obtained earlier experimentally, showed that they coincide with an accuracy sufficient for engineering calculations.
