Abstract
The power output-capability of the class E switching-mode-tuned power amplifier is given as a function of the ON switch duty cycle D at different values of the loaded quality factor Q/sub 1/, with the circuit component values chosen to generate the 'ideal' voltage and current waveforms. The maximum power-output capability ranges from 0.0909 to 0.1002 and occurs at values of D from 0.62 to 0.5, over the entire range of Q/sub 1/ from zero to infinity.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
