Abstract

In Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) energy is a limited resource. So, to increase the life time of wireless sensor networks we have to reduce the power consumption of sensor networks. WSN consists of hundreds or thousands of nodes, which doesn't have any infrastructure. When designing a distributed wireless sensor networks power consumption becomes an important challenge. There are several restrictions in the designing process of a sensor network, in which the lifetime of a network should be taken into consideration. The lifetime could depend on the battery device, the protocols used and the topology you used. In this paper, we can discuss the various power management techniques of Wireless Sensor Network which will help to increase the life time of the network.
