Abstract

Power flow calculation is a key problem in the operation and planning of the islanded microgrid. In this paper, a holomorphic embedding (HE)-based model is proposed for the islanded microgrid power flow calculation with droop-regulated distributed generations (DGs). Through proper embedding, this model preserves the advantage of HE that can yield reliable solutions. Also, the VF (voltage and frequency)-dependent bus model compatible with the HE is developed step by step and is exemplified by an illustrative case. Numerical tests are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model.
