Abstract

In order to solve the equivalent inductance calculation problem caused by rectifier which AC side connected LCL resonant converter, a power factor calculation method for the rectifier which AC side connected LCL resonant converter is proposed. Based on the analysis of the working state of the rectifier which connected the critical conduction mode (CRM) LCL resonant converter, a mathematical model of the input voltage and current of the LCL resonant converter is proposed in the form of differential equation. And the fundamental voltage value of the parallel resonant capacitor of the LCL resonant converter is used to approximate its actual voltage value. The proposed method can be used to calculate the power factor of the rectifier which connected CRM LCL resonant converter. And then it can be used to design the CRM LCL resonant converter accurately so that the CRM LCL resonant converter works in a state close to unity power factor. Finally, simulation analysis and experimental verification are carried out. The simulation and experimental results show: the proposed method can be used to calculate the power factor of the rectifier which AC side connected CRM LCL resonant converter.
