Abstract
In this chapter, a flexible power control strategy is proposed for the coordinated operation of the hybrid AC/DC zones in AC/DC MG. Firstly, the basic operation mode of the hybrid MG is introduced, which lays the control foundation of this chapter. Based on a new V-f droop principle and the characteristics of a similar virtual synchronous generator (VSG), a flexible control strategy is designed and the determination of key parameters is discussed in detail, which enables a rational distribution of the cross-zone support power and improves the dynamic response of the system. In addition, coordinated control loops with distributed energy storage (DES) and interconnection converters (IC) are designed to enable the practical application of the strategy. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed strategy is verified through simulation studies, showing that the strategy can improve the power quality and dynamics in the hybrid zone and contribute to the robustness of the hybrid AC/DC MG.
