Abstract

AbstractMixing is one of the crucial unit operations adopted in various chemical, biochemical, and food processes. Power consumption plays a key role in the proper design and scale‐up of mixing apparatuses. The actual research goal is to establish suitable correlations for power consumption prediction in different types of liquid batches based on the broad experimental dataset. This work, broadening the database just being built, aims at the description of the effect of impeller type, gas superficial velocity, impeller diameter/tank diameter ratio, tank diameter, and impeller rotational frequency in the slightly viscous batch.
